The bottleneck
Every variant is worked by hand. Change the core diameter and the winding is redone; change the conductor and the losses move; change the layer count and the impedance goes out of tolerance. Each pass costs hours.
So one workable design gets costed, and that is the design you quote. Not because it was the best one available, but because there was no time to find a second.
The margin left on the table never shows up on any report.
What it does

No-load loss, load loss, short-circuit impedance, winding resistances and material cost are computed for each design in the same pass — at your current copper, aluminium, steel and oil prices.
Results come back ranked and comparable, so the trade-off between loss guarantee, impedance and cost is visible before you commit to it.
Inputs, constraints, prices and results are stored together. A quote sent in March can be reconstructed exactly in November.
How it works
Rating, voltages, vector group, tapping range, loss guarantees, impedance tolerance and temperature-rise limits. Then the part most tools ignore: the conductor sizes, core widths and materials you actually hold in stock.
The engine works through the space and streams valid designs back as it finds them. You can watch a run progress, and you can leave it and come back.

Engineering
Ecitron comes out of twenty-five years of designing and building distribution transformers. The calculation chain was not assembled from published approximations; it is the working method of a manufacturing shop, rewritten as software.
It is checked the same way. Designs that have been built are compared against their measured test results — mass, winding resistance, no-load and load loss, impedance — line by line, unit by unit. Where the model and the factory disagree, the model gets corrected.
Ecitron supports engineering judgement. It does not replace independent verification by a qualified engineer, nor the type and routine testing required before a transformer is placed in service.
